The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana was founded in 1968 to support the French languages and cultures in Louisiana. Its mission continues in 2011 with a refocused energies on the growth of the French immersion programs, the inclusion of the Creole language in its mission and increased exchange programs within Louisiana and around the world.
